About Taylor County Criminal History

Taylor County criminal records are split among the sheriff, courts in Grafton, the West Virginia State Police Criminal Identification Bureau, the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and the West Virginia State Police Sex Offender Registry. We created this private reference resource to make those lines of custody easier to follow. Readers can identify the office, search system, address, or phone channel that fits the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

West Virginia access depends on the type and custodian of the record. The Taylor County Sheriff keeps sheriff-created reports and warrant information in its custody. Magistrate and Circuit Court clerks keep complaints, dockets, filed charges, and dispositions. WVSP CIB maintains the state identity-based criminal-history system, but it does not offer an unrestricted public name portal. WVDCR supplies custody information, while the state police registry serves a separate public-safety role. We bring the verified contacts, official portals, and request paths together without treating these distinct records as one file.

What You Will Find Here

  • Record guides: ways to search and read Taylor County court, arrest, and custody records
  • Official check routes: how subject-authorized and fingerprint-supported requests work through WVSP CIB and IdentoGO
  • Agency contacts: where to reach the Taylor County Sheriff, court clerks, WVDCR, and statewide systems
  • Expungement routes: where eligible West Virginia petitions and current court forms are filed

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. It has no affiliation with a West Virginia court, law-enforcement office, corrections agency, or registry. Those limits mean:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot promise that an agency phone number, fee, address, or process has not changed

Only the issuing office, such as the sheriff, court clerk, WVDCR, or WVSP CIB, can provide or certify its official record.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They control their own services, prices, and results. We may receive a referral fee when use of a tool leads to a paid signup, which supports free access to this resource. We do not set the provider's fees and cannot verify the completeness or accuracy of its output.
